Ingredients
| 1 cup | all-purpose flour |
| 1/2 cup | sesame seeds |
| 1/4 cup | ghee |
| 1/4 cup | powdered sugar |
| 1/4 teaspoon | cardamom powder |
| — | salt to taste |
| — | water as needed |
Instructions
- 1 In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, sesame seeds, and salt.
- 2 Heat ghee until melted and add it to the flour mixture.
- 3 Mix well until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
- 4 Gradually add water, a little at a time, and knead into a firm dough.
- 5 Cover the dough and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- 6 Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a thin disc.
- 7 Heat a tawa or griddle on medium heat.
- 8 Cook each disc on the tawa until golden brown spots appear on both sides.
- 9 Remove from heat and let them cool slightly.
- 10 Sprinkle powdered sugar and cardamom powder over the cooked papdis.
- 11 Serve warm or at room temperature.
Tips
Ensure the dough is firm to get crispy papdis. Adjust sugar to taste.
