Ingredients
| 2 cups | all-purpose flour |
| 1 teaspoon | baking powder |
| 1 tablespoon | vegetable oil |
| 1 teaspoon | sugar |
| 1/2 teaspoon | salt |
| 3/4 cup | warm water |
Instructions
- 1 In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- 2 Add the vegetable oil to the dry ingredients and mix well.
- 3 Gradually add warm water to the mixture, stirring continuously to form a soft dough.
- 4 Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- 5 Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- 6 Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.
- 7 Flatten each ball into a disc and roll it into a spiral shape.
- 8 Place the spiraled dough pieces on a steamer lined with parchment paper.
- 9 Steam the Tingmo for 15-20 minutes until they are puffed and cooked through.
- 10 Serve warm with your choice of curry or stew.
Tips
Ensure the water in the steamer is boiling before placing the Tingmo to steam for best results.
