Ingredients

1 cup jasmine rice
1.5 cups water
1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. 1 Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. 2 Drain the rice and place it in a medium-sized pot.
  3. 3 Add 1.5 cups of water and a pinch of salt to the pot with the rice.
  4. 4 Cover the pot with a lid and bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.
  5. 5 Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 15 minutes.
  6. 6 Turn off the heat and let the rice sit, covered, for another 10 minutes to finish steaming.
  7. 7 Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.

Tips

For a subtle fragrance, you can add a pandan leaf to the rice while cooking.
