Ingredients
| 1 cup | jasmine rice |
| 1.5 cups | water |
| 1 pinch | salt |
Instructions
- 1 Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- 2 Drain the rice and place it in a medium-sized pot.
- 3 Add 1.5 cups of water and a pinch of salt to the pot with the rice.
- 4 Cover the pot with a lid and bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.
- 5 Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 15 minutes.
- 6 Turn off the heat and let the rice sit, covered, for another 10 minutes to finish steaming.
- 7 Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
Tips
For a subtle fragrance, you can add a pandan leaf to the rice while cooking.
