Ingredients

8 wonton wrappers
100 grams ground pork
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon ginger
1 clove garlic
1 scallion
1 egg
4 cups chicken broth

Instructions

  1. 1 In a bowl, combine ground pork, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced ginger, minced garlic, and finely chopped scallion.
  2. 2 Beat the egg and add half of it to the pork mixture, reserving the other half for sealing the wontons.
  3. 3 Place a teaspoon of the pork mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  4. 4 Brush the edges of the wrapper with the reserved beaten egg, fold to form a triangle, and press to seal.
  5. 5 Bring chicken broth to a boil in a pot. Add soy sauce, salt, and white pepper to taste.
  6. 6 Gently drop wontons into the boiling broth and cook for about 5 minutes until they float to the surface.
  7. 7 Add chopped bok choy to the broth and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  8. 8 Ladle soup into bowls, ensuring each serving has wontons and bok choy.
  9. 9 Garnish with sliced scallions before serving.

Tips

Ensure the wontons are sealed tightly to prevent filling from leaking during cooking.
