Ingredients

300 grams thinly sliced beef (such as ribeye or sirloin)
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon mirin
1 tablespoon sake
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 bunch green onions, sliced
1 cup assorted vegetables (such as bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms)
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
salt to taste
freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1 In a bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, and ginger to make the marinade.
  2. 2 Add the sliced beef to the marinade, mix well, and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. 3 Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. 4 Add the marinated beef slices to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
  5. 5 Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  6. 6 In the same pan, add the assorted vegetables and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  7. 7 Return the beef to the pan with the vegetables and toss everything together.
  8. 8 Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  9. 9 Sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Tips

For an authentic experience, serve with steamed rice and a side of kimchi.
