Ingredients
| 300 grams | thinly sliced beef (such as ribeye or sirloin) |
| 1 tablespoon | soy sauce |
| 1 tablespoon | mirin |
| 1 tablespoon | sake |
| 1 tablespoon | sesame oil |
| 1 teaspoon | sugar |
| 2 cloves | garlic, minced |
| 1 teaspoon | grated ginger |
| 1 bunch | green onions, sliced |
| 1 cup | assorted vegetables (such as bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms) |
| 1 tablespoon | sesame seeds |
| — | salt to taste |
| — | freshly ground black pepper to taste |
Instructions
- 1 In a bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, and ginger to make the marinade.
- 2 Add the sliced beef to the marinade, mix well, and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- 3 Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
- 4 Add the marinated beef slices to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
- 5 Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
- 6 In the same pan, add the assorted vegetables and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
- 7 Return the beef to the pan with the vegetables and toss everything together.
- 8 Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
- 9 Sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Tips
For an authentic experience, serve with steamed rice and a side of kimchi.
