Ingredients

1 cup wheat flour
1 cup water
1 tablespoon oil
1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, potatoes)
1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. 1 In a bowl, mix wheat flour with a pinch of salt and enough water to make a soft dough.
  2. 2 Divide the dough into small balls and roll them out into thin sheets.
  3. 3 Cut the sheets into small squares to make the pasta for the soup.
  4. 4 Heat oil in a pot and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  5. 5 Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté until golden brown.
  6. 6 Add mixed vegetables and sauté for a few minutes.
  7. 7 Stir in turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  8. 8 Add 2 cups of water and bring to a boil.
  9. 9 Once boiling, add the pasta squares to the soup.
  10. 10 Cook until the pasta is tender and the vegetables are cooked through.
  11. 11 Garnish with chopped spring onion and fresh coriander before serving.

Tips

For a richer flavor, you can add a dash of soy sauce or a pinch of garam masala.
